I (Alan) give three reasons for “Why Jesus?” in my first sermon in a very long time. (The reason it has been a while is that we only have an hour for church and, as a congregation, we prioritize Bible study over listening to a minister preaching.) Finally, there is an emergency radio that isn't cheesy, has awesome quality, and shows an intense focus on design, usability, and functionality. As a Red Sox fan and, naturally, a Yankees hater :-), I appreciated this old time radio clip from 1950. ("Broadway Is My Beat" is one of my favorites.) I'm old, but still too young, to know Ted Williams' career well (he retired before I was born). But, I know he was an amazing baseball player, and I give him bonus points for depressing Yankees fans. :-)
