How The GOP Can Reach Gen Z
"I feel like for any political party, stop focusing on pushing candidates and speak to what young people are going through," said Link Lauren. "What I hear from young people is that financial stress is the number one issue they have going on in their lives. So reach into the hearts and minds of young people and tell them how you're going to relieve their financial stress, how you're going to help them pay for their first house, their first apartment, college, their car, gas, food, health insurance."

“How much more is somebody going to have in terms of influence and leverage, if they didn’t contribute to get somebody elected, but they made the politician’s family rich?” Schweizer asked. “I would argue, they’re going to have far, far, far more leverage, especially if we’re not talking about a domestic industry.”

The Everyday Consequences Of Critical Race Theory And Cancel Culture
On this episode of “The Federalist Radio Hour,” Christopher Rufo, writer, filmmaker, and director of the Discovery Institute’s Center on Wealth and Poverty, joins Culture Editor Emily Jashinsky to break down the dangers of critical race theory, the belief that the United States is irredeemably racist, and how it informs devastating and widespread cancel culture.
“We have a kind of a society-wide problem where moving away from equality towards equity, moving away from justice towards social justice, we’re creating a system of policy and practice that is antithetical to our Constitution, antithetical to the Bill of Rights, antithetical to American law,” Rufo said. “The idea on the top line is just social justice, but really if you kind of peel back the layers of ideology and you get to the core of this belief system, they’re advocating for a kind of cultural revolution, steeped in Marxism, adjusted to identity politics, and now activated through Black Lives Matter, through critical race theory, and absurdly through even corporate HR departments.”

The Difference Between Real History And The 1619 Project
On this episode of The Federalist Radio Hour, Peter Wood, President of National Association of Scholars, joins Political Editor John Daniel Davidson to discuss his book "1620: A Critical Response to the 1619 Project."
"I'm not arguing something that is novel or strange," Wood said, noting that the landing of the pilgrims at Plymouth Rock and Mayflower Compact are some of the most historically significant events that occurred at that time in America. "Anyone who has paid reasonable attention to American history knows this already."
"We now tend to treat the pilgrims and Plymouth Colony as an effort to tear away from the Indians their native rights to the lands and hunting grounds to stimulate war and oppression," he continued. "So pilgrims have fallen into the same wastebasket of history that a lot of other important elements have in our history."

The Keys To A Revitalized Republican Party
On this episode of The Federalist Radio Hour, assistant professor at Hillsdale College in Washington D.C. David Azerrad joins Host Ben Domenech to discuss how the GOP can harness its populist influence to recapture voters, reaffirm its moral roots, and address some of the bigger issues facing the nation today.
"The end unto itself is to get a majority coalition, regardless of what it looks like, to win elections and implement sound policies to keep the country going and to bring it back to greatness. That should be the goal," Azerrad said.
"I often say that I wish that the right would fight with the same clarity of purpose, resolve, and ruthlessness with which the left fights," he added.

Dr. Larry Arnn Explains America's Founding
On this episode of The Federalist Radio Hour, Dr. Larry Arnn, president of Hillsdale College, joins Political Editor John Daniel Davidson to discuss how the principles established during the founding of America and the Pilgrims’ arrival on the Mayflower in 1620 should be valued today.
“If you think of the unfolding of America, it’s all implicit in that set of arrangements,” Arnn explained. “The doctrine of equality is not in there, except implicitly, but powerfully implicitly, because they all have to sign it.”
The attempted erasure of these principles by movements such as the New York Times’ “1619 Project,” Arrn said, reinforces the value of them as well as Americans’ struggle for a free, equal nation for all.
“Our history has always been a struggle towards [equality] and we have long periods where we give up on this thing and try to do something easier. That’s where the tragedies come,” Arnn said. “And the contemporary tragedy is, now we’re gonna pick them by color, and advance some and, and debase others, to make it up for the wrongs done in the past. And we lose our individuality in that.”

Chef: COVID Lockdowns Are ‘Class Warfare’ Against Small, Local Businesses
On this episode of The Federalist Radio Hour, Chef Andrew Gruel joins Host Ben Domenech to discuss the impact of COVID-19 on the restaurant industry and the struggle for small businesses to get back on their feet.
“All we hear about today is this outrageous spike in cases, hospitals overflowing, etc. And yet the narrative is still ‘shut down restaurants,'” Gruel said. “We’ve been shut down. We are not the culprit.”
