Memories of my summer holiday in Gialova, Peloponnese, Greece. Flashbacks of Summer. I've been to the Polymnio Waterfalls and to Olympia, where the first olympic games took place.

In my backyard a lot of sparrows were eating the seeds of Lavender. It was a joy to watch these little birds, eating and balancing on the branches of lavender.

Biting, prancing, kicking and smelling - these Konik horses demonstrate their magnificent power and strength during a fight in the Oostvaardersplassen, the Netherlands.

A very cute little kitty was playing around in a garden. When I started filming he noticed me and started to sneak up on me very carefully. I felt like I was the meat for his next meal.....

This dark brown, orange, black and white coloured butterfly is medium large and is of the type Charaxes jasius. Males wingspan reaching 65-75 and females 73-90 mm Butterflies are graceful and fascinating creatures and bring colour to the garden. In general they are happy with the sweet nectar in flowers, but some like the sap of a tree or an overripe apples or bananas, sliced oranges or animal manure. This one that I met was very happy with my can of beer as you can see. Hope he didn’t drink too much, but on the other hand they never fly away in a straight line….

This time lapse of melting snow is made in two days. It's just so great to watch the snow melting in this format! It looks like the grass is breathing again when the snow is gone. So mesmerizing!

These Konik horses demonstrate their magnificent power and strength during a meeting in the Oostvaardersplassen, the Netherlands.

You can see some patterns of horse behavior. "Bands" are two or more horses gathering in the wild. These bands exist of mares, foals and yearlings and are protected by a stallion. The family groups are strong. Sometimes there are fights to take over a "harem". Of course the stallion tries to protect his band as good as possible. In this video you will see two horses trying to impress and protect their bands. This timelapse video is made in the Oostvaardersplassen, a nature reserve in the Netherlands. Horses are such beautiful creatures and have around 205 bones in their skeleton. Horses diets do not consist of any meat, they are herbivores. A male horse is called a stallion and a female horse is called a mare. If a horse is standing up, it doesn't mean it's awake, horses can sleep both standing and sitting, that's pretty impressive! Horses care about each other very much, no matter what, one horse will always be awake. A group of horses will never all be sleeping, there is always one keeping watch. There is an estimated amount of 60 million horses around the world, that's a lot, wow!

Mum guides her ducklings to a safer place because of spawning breams. The Breams are pretty busy and make a lot of noise and move wild and quickly at the surface of the water. A water ballet with a lot of splashing water is the result. This all happens in the Oostvaardersplassen, a nature reserve in the Netherlands between Lelystad and Almère.

A wild horse is lying down to rest a little bit, but his friend wants to play a game. Funny to see how they are trying to get over on the other. Who will win the play? This happened in the Oostvaardersplassen, a nature reserve in the Netherlands in between the cities Almère and Lelystad. Enjoy!

This Young Black Redstart is calling her mom for food. She answers quickly with a delicious meal. Black redstart are small birds is some 14 cm in length and weight some 15 gram. The adult male has a dark grey to black body and a black breast. The undertail and belly can have an orange-red colour or blackish-grey. Mom is grey to grey-brown. A black redstart doesn’t only eat insects, but also spiders, worms, seeds and berries. The second part of the video is in slow motion.

What a special moment with a young wild foal. Curious and cute darting around me as if he wants to play with me. Those kind of meetings makes me happy. He is part of a band of wild horses on the wetlands of the Oostvaardersplassen, the Netherlands between the cties Almère and Lelystad. Konik horses originated from Poland.

In the nature reserve the Oostvaardersplassen in the Netherlands three wild Konik horses are wrestling with each other. Two are busy to get the other one on the floor and the third one tries to participate in the game by grabbing one of the others in the neck with his mouth.

Slow, slower slowest. Great to follow the moves of these two fighting wild horses in slowmotion. This is filmed in the Oostvaardersplassen, a nature reserve in the Netherlands. The horses are Konik horses.

Some little ducks in the Oostvaardersplassen were looking for food. Besides grass they were catching insects. Adorable!

While filming some wild horses in the Oostvaardersplassen, a nature reserve in the Netherlands, some wild horses were running towards me and they came very close. i was just in time to step aside.

A timelapse of a deceased grasshopper being moved and dissected by ants and wasps. When this grasshopper becomes a feast for a colony of ants and wasps the circle of live continues. Check it out in epic time lapse format!

In an open field in the Oostvaardersplassen, a nature reserve in the Netherlands, some wild Konik horses are causing a lot of commotion by rumnning, fighting and biting each other. Most of the other horses are trying to avoid the battle and step aside. If horses fight it will be for dominance or for the right to rule their herd. In their herd they always want to be the leaders. We dont know what the reason of this batlle was, but it looks very impressive.

There is a battle going on over a deceased Grasshopper. At first the ants, with many, want to move the dead body of the grasshopper, but soon wasps want to take over and get their share of the meal. The ants don't give up though and try to scare off the wasps. A real battle has started ....... They attack the wasps and try to chase them away. After some attacks the wasps leave the prey and the ants go on with dissecting the grasshopper. This nature scenery took place in the summer on the island Lefkas in Greece. Some shots are in real time and others in slow-motion. Hope you enjoy this battle between the ants and the wasps!

You are watching an adorable scenery of a Coot family. Mother and father Coot are feeding the kids. Coots are small water birds as you can see and they often seen on lakes, ponds and rivers. They are close relatives of the Moorhen. A Coot is black with a distinctive white front face shield and beak. The Moorhen however is brown and black and has a distinctive red frontal face and beak. The chicks are also black but with a orange fluff around the face and body. They look really cute with their fluffy feathers. Coots are omnivorous. They sometimes eat sometimes small animals, eggs and fish, but mainly plant material. They need to dive for food and that is not a big deal for them. They can easily dive below the surface of the water up to six seconds to depths of 2 meters or even more. They re-surface quickly, like a cork as you can see in the video. The chicks are floating on the waves of the diving parents in a funny way. As you can observe, they have big feet, mostly grey, sport weird lobed toes. Those feet help them to walk on floating water plants and rafts, but also to distribute their body weight. A horse fight is always impressive to watch, like the fight in this video. These two horses show their power in a fight. Horses are social animals living in herds. A pecking order is important to reduce aggression and increase group cohesion. This video is taken in the Oostvaardersplassen, a nature reserve in the Netherlands.
