I'm close up with my friend's black palm cockatoo at a party. She's curious and so gentle... different than my rambunctious goffins!

We're in the conference room and Misha sees kids walk by. He is really excited! I think he wants to go outside and play with them. He is saying Peekaboo! He is such a fun, big, bird! Misha is a Moluccan cockatoo that I adopted. This video was taken about a 2 weeks after I got him, at work in the office. I hope that it's obvious that the cage on the table is his TRAVEL CAGE. His tail feathers are messed up from being in a temp home in a cage that was too small, and he frequently leans back on them for balance. His toes are bent weirdly due to a congenital birth defect. He was never abused that we know of or can tell (more than being kept in a small cage for about 6 months, which was the reason why his previous owner took him back and surrendered him to the rescue I was volunteering with).

I called Boo back into the aviary with me, and he came running and angrily screaming. He was pissed off! I had just yelled at him for pulling my friends' macaws' tails and he does NOT like to be told NO! He totally sounds like a little angry dinosaur :-P I accidentally had my phone on slow motion :P

Yesterday I skipped out on Wordpress seminars to have a play date with my goffins cockatoo Boo. It's been a while since Boo last saw his black palm cockatoo friend, and he was so excited. They played together on the floor and shared toys. Every time the black cockatoo turned her back on him, Boo would pull her tail so that she'd give him attention. It was so cute! I edited this in iMovie with the canned music.

Misha literally got a new house. He is not impressed and wants his old box back. This long clip of his reaction to a new toy house is from a live show we did.
