Sea lion wakes and vomits up something alive!51s

Sea lion wakes and vomits up something alive!

The sea lions on San Cristobal Island are truly the kings of the beaches. They act like they own the waterfront and even the sidewalks and patios of the businesses along it. This young male sea lion had found a spot on the sidewalk outside a local pizza joint. Sleeping soundly, not far from the beach, he seemed like he was out for the night. But suddenly, he was up on his haunches and looking very uncomfortable. He started to retch and complain loudly. His stomach was obviously upset for some reason. Restaurant patrons were enjoying a pizza and the sound of the waves washing up on shore nearby. They watched the young animal and recorded as he wandered slowly around. It seemed he was OK and then suddenly he vomited up a live eel. The eel wiggled on the sidewalk in front of him for a few seconds. The sea lion quickly grabbed the eel in his jaws and began biting and shaking it. Unable to believe his eyes, one of the pizza lovers sprang to his feet and went closer for a look at what was happening. He recorded the sea lion again as it swung the eel around and made sure it was safe to eat. The eel is actually a tiger snake eel, a common sight in the waters around San Cristobal Island in the Galapagos. This sea lion is young enough that he still depends on milk from his mother, but he also consumes some solid food. Either he caught the eel himself or was fed the eel by his mother, but it obviously wasn’t dead when he ate it the first time. The eel must have been struggling in his stomach, or possibly even biting him before he vomited. With other seals around, this hungry fellow wasn’t wasting time to eat it a second time. Seeing a seal vomit was completely unexpected but seeing him vomit a live animal was completely bizarre!

Brenda Snipes - It's Time For Me To Move On, I've Served The Purposed I Came Here For

After days of enduring heavy criticism, Broward’s controversial supervisor of elections said Tuesday might not seek another term in office. Brenda Snipes told reporters “it is time to move on” from the position she has held for 15 years as head of Broward County’s elections. Her current term runs through 2020. “I think I have served the purpose that I came for, which is to provide a credible election product for Broward,” she said. The decision isn’t final, she said, because she still has to talk to her family about it. Snipes’ announcement came after a reporter asked her response to a tweet from former Florida Governor Jeb Bush, who appointed Snipes, calling for her removal from office. “There is no question that Broward County Supervisor of Elections Brenda Snipes failed to comply with Florida law on multiple counts, undermining Floridians’ confidence in our electoral process,” Bush tweeted.

German Shepherd 36s

German Shepherd "whines" and dines with owner

In psychology we learn about conditioning and how to train your dog/raise your children. In the Pavlov example, giving a dog food and ringing a bell often results in a dog eventually salivating over just the bell. In this video, Benson the Shepherd mix knows if he just keeps whining and looking sweet might result in the smallest crumb. Sometimes giving in turns into spoiled children - or in this case, PETS! For example, this German Shepherd mix lives alone with his owner and how can you say no to that face?! Though begging for food is not a characteristic ANY dog should have, this is a whole new story. Benson is such a sweet boy and instead of being in your face, he plays the "innocent, sweet little puppy who is just starving." He tries giving his paw, whining every time his owner says no, and giving those sweet puppy eyes and moves his HUGE ears. This pup deserves all of the leftovers. Benson has very large ears and a large appetite!
