Vase made from Hawthorn, the crack has been filled using Plum Cherry pieces and held in place with PVA mixed with ground used Coffee. Finished in Danish Oil. First time for me turning Port Orford Cedar, I have recently taken down one of these trees as it was growing too close to a house, so I have a pile of this at the moment. Finished in Danish oil, the speaker has a 2 x 50W amplifier with Bluetooth connection. On the website now for sale. If you've been wondering where I have been for the last month, here is the answer. Lots of hours of design, trial and error have gone into this. For the left and right speakers I've used the Tang Band W4-2356, this driver allows you to create any shape you want for the speaker box, this is because it uses a off-axis design, reducing diffraction problems. You can view the drivers here http://tb-speaker.com/products/w4-2356 The Subwoofer is a W6-1139. The system is Powered by a 2 x 50W with a 100W Sub Output amplifier, the amplifier features bluetooth, wifi and optic in etc. It will also pair with the last speaker system I made, so the same music can be played at the same time through each. I've made this as a prototype system in a way I can recreate with no issues, most of my other speakers are normally one offs just because I have used a certain piece of wood that I though would make a good speaker. I will be selling this prototype system soon on the website at a reduced cost, however I will also be offering for sale at the same time a new system but made to order, you can choose any colour you want, the custom built systems will be at full price however and made form Birch Ply as opposed to MDF. Nice piece of Sycamore I obtained from my own garden, started turning this a few months back now. Was rough turned and then left for final drying for about two months. Finished in Danish Oil only, then polished with beeswax. Been working on this one for a while now, probably over a 100 hours have gone into making this with all the trial and error. Made from Applewood, finished in Danish Oil. The Amp is 2 x 50w, features Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, LAN and USB inputs and can be used as a WiFi hotspot. Its my intention to use this type of amp in most of the future speaker builds. Each speaker houses a Dayton Audio DMA Driver matched with a Passive Radiator. Need to do some more testing to ensure the Amp is fully programmed as it should be for the best overall sound, so this will hopefully be on my website in a couple of weeks once that's done. As the name implies this ones made from Apple wood, plenty of Burl around the log too. Finished in Danish Oil.

Bit of a story behind this tree trunk, must have been about 3 years ago the Mrs was looking online for something and found this Apple tree trunk advertised as "free", the previous owners had cut the tree back many years ago and just left this in the ground, seemed a shame to let it go to waste, so off we went to force it in the back of the the car! I then started to turn it around about January last year in the old workshop, then left it until recently to fully dry out. Finished in several coats of Danish oil. Taken sometime this one, reason I haven't posted for a few weeks as I've been working on this. Main body of the telescope is made from Sycamore, all other pieces are made from a piece of wood from a Cucumber Tree. The total magnification is around x18 with the 50mm lens and 20mm eyepiece. Each piece was dried and then treated with a heat cured resin so there is no movement in the piece at a later date.
