Friendship is beautiful; but a friendship that is born from a heroic rescue is downright heartwarming. We are in love with this story about Jake, a <a href=" https://rumble.com/v329qp-pitbull-befriends-rescued-kitten.html " target="_blank">Pitbull</a> mix, and Bill Lindler. Jake was a victim of a house fire but thankfully rescued by Bill and others from Hanahan, South Carolina Fire Department. After Jake was rescued, although he was in rough shape, he was taken to a local clinic for treatment. Jake needed a new home; that’s where Bill came back into the picture. Bill adopted Jake and the two formed an incredible bond. Jake is a fighter and a survivor. After such an ordeal, he found a new home and became an official Firefighter thanks to the Mayor. Jake not only won Bill’s heart, but everyone he meets as well. Throughout the video you can tell that he has become a crucial part of the fire department in Hanahan. As the video goes on many of his now colleges have all the best to say about him. He is a charm and a motivation and also full of positive energy which the <a href=" https://rumble.com/v3et2m-heres-the-truth-behind-the-photo-of-firefighters-thats-being-shared-all-ove.html " target="_blank">firefighters</a> really need after they come back from putting out horrible fires. His company has brought lots of happiness and joy to all the firefighters in the station. His attitude and great persona is something that the firefighters claim they cannot live without. As one of them even states, "this dog has never met a stranger". He has also had the honor of becoming one of the crew and has been awarded by a badge that he wears onto his uniform. The dogs of the K9th Circuit Program are the ultimate therapy dogs for kids in courtrooms. In 2014, Orlando, Florida created a community outreach program called Companions for Courage where dogs provide a sense of secruity to children testifying in court. "Think about how a child must feel. They have to face the person who has hurt them, they have to sit in front of a bunch of strangers and tell a really painful story, and most of the time they're not even with their family while they're testifying," said Joanne Rittenhouse, one of the dog handlers. "All the dogs make everyone calm; they have a good presence," she continued. Studies have shown that people are better able to recollect facts and provide more accurate information regarding traumatic events when they are calm. With the assistance of the dog teams, children and adults are able to relieve their anxiety about the underlying traumatic events and provide more precise testimonies in court proceedings. One very special therapy dog named Karl is one of 6 dogs in the K9 Circuit Program. He was born deaf, knows sign language, and is an amazing support to the kids. "Karl gave her the courage to go through with the trial. I couldn't even get her out of the car when we first started and towards the end she was getting out of the car just to go and see Karl," added dog handler Carol Feiner. As a part of the community outreach program, "Companions for Courage is about the victim and the dog. It's a bond, and a sense of security that the animal brings to the child – to give them the confidence and courage to face that scary place." "Children feel protected to have this dog by their side" said Joanne. Since the program started, the Companions for Courage have been involved in 23 cases. Companions for Courage is the approved Therapy Dog Provider for the 5th Judicial Circuit and Ninth Judicial Circuit Courts of Florida.

We love all dogs. Any age, any breed, any color. But it’s no secret that when people go to adopt dogs, they are usually searching for a puppy. This way, they can raise them and have them their whole lives. But what about senior dogs who need homes? They are just as amazing as puppies, if not more. Among many other qualities, they make loyal companions. The clip features Chris and Mariesa Hughes who run Mr. Mo Project, an established non-profit group responsible for saving countless shelter dogs since 2011. Together they fight to save senior shelter dogs nationwide, to honor of the life of their late and beloved senior dog, Mr. Mo. Here’s what the Hughes’ say about the project and how it all started: “Moses brought our attention to the overwhelming number of senior dogs that find their way into shelters across the country. Moses came to us housebroken, well trained and a gentle loving dog. He went on to become a chef, advocate for elderbulls and one of Facebook favorite faces. On February 17th, 2014 Moses was diagnosed with an inoperable spinal cord tumor. Moses lost his brave battle on March 26, 2014 and has since inspired this project." Senior dogs in shelters don’t have the best opportunities to find the loving homes that they deserve. People look at their age and decide that they don’t want a dog for a short period of time, or one that already has a lot of problems. But Chris and Mariesa fell in love with him instantly and they’re happy that they decided to take him home. DaVinci, a 10-12 year old Pitbull with neurological issues, was found wandering the streets of Albany, NY. After being taken in by the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, Chris and Mariesa went there to get to know the people who work there -- little did they know they would be meeting one of their future dogs! DaVinci was in bad shape and the Hughes' went back to the shelter to adopt him in January of 2014, thinking it would be a "hospice stay" and he wouldn't be around for long. Under the Hughes' care, DaVinci is like a new dog! The Mr. Mo Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit group started by Chris and Mariesa Hughes that has been responsible for saving countless shelter dogs nationwide since 2011. In honor of the life of their late and beloved senior dog Mr. Mo, the organization and the amazing Mr. Mo dog rescue community have saved over 200 senior dogs. As part of the program, the senior dogs ’ medical and veterinary costs are covered for life while in their forever foster home, which averages $25,000 a month. The program currently has 92 senior dogs in foster homes.

While we love all of their animals, Spartacus, the baby goat, holds a special place in our hearts. When Spartacus was born his mom left him in the field. His owner found him and had to give CPR and brought him back to life. He still suffers some medical issues due to his circumstances but he is truly a miracle baby! One very special friend, a baby emu, has helped bring Spartacus back to life. This is truly the most incredible love story we have ever seen! These adorable animals get a better life that truly counts. They also find ways to give back to the community and places where comfort is needed most. Their animals have traveled to Newtown, CT, Short Term Crisis Shelters, Homeless Shelters, attended Hospice camps, and have reached out to South Coast Neediest Families and nursing home residents. Spartacus is a 125 pound Akita. Most people might find him intimidating, but he has a heart of gold! As a therapy dog registered with Pet Partners, Spartacus has been an important part of the healing process for Sammy, one student who attends Sandy Hook Elementary. Spartacus and his owner Brad Cole were called to the school to help children with the therapy process after the Sandy Hook tragedy. Surprisingly, Sammy and Spartacus bonded instantly and have been great friends ever since.

Dogs Who Love Trampolines

Returning vet who struggled to find his place in society while fighting Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) turned to running and hiking in Oregon's high mountains with his loving pets - a dog named Puppi and a cat named Burma.

This rabbit escaped near death and is "hoppily" living with Amy in Massachusetts after she was rescued and nursed back to health by Sweet Binks Rabbit Rescue, a nonprofit, all volunteer shelter in Rhode Island.

Sadness is no match for Lulu; a very special kind of therapy dog. Funerals are an extremely hard time for family and friends of lost loved ones. The Ballard-Durand Funeral & Cremation Services is a caring and compassionate funeral home that guides families to a meaningful ceremony to honor the life and memory of a loved one. The owner, Matthew Fiorillo, realized the power his dog LULU could have in helping people in their time of need. This Goldendoodle joined the Westchester County funeral homes and has been trained for duty as their very own certified Therapy Dog. Affectionately called the firm’s “Comfort Companion,” Lulu follows the lead of service dogs often used in health care settings, such as hospitals, nursing homes and Universities. She provides families with unconditional love and support, as well as a subtle distraction from their grief.

There is an abundance of shelter dogs in the deep south. That’s why Greg Mahle founded a transport service called Rescue Road Trip to relieve these unwanted dogs from their death sentence and ship them north to the arms of loving and eager canine owners. The trip starts on Tuesdays in Ohio, goes south of the Mason Dixon Line to retrieve the dogs and then circles back up north for joyful reunions later in the week. Many know Mark Imhof as Mark "The Dog Guy" because of his passion for helping shelter dogs. In fact, Mark volunteers as a groomer at the Animal Care Centers (ACC) of NYC, an organization that takes in over 30,000 animals a year! Mark who is an Certified Public Accountant by trade also recently graduated from grooming school and has already helped over 200 animals get out of shelters and into forever homes. Previously unadoptable and sometimes aggressive, these animals were physically/mentally unstable and unable to be loved. "While lots of people think that grooming is just for aesthetic, it actually is a medical necessity", said manager of ACC, Summer Dolder. Mark is changing the lives of these animals by providing them with the chance to look and feel better and most importantly find a forever home. "My heart is filled with such joy doing this work!"

13-year-old Claire Fraise launched Lucky Tails – non-profit dog rescue organization – because she wanted to help dogs in need find loving forever homes. She takes in dogs in Fairfield CT and sets them up with a foster family until they find their forever homes. Her goal is to save 10 dogs this year and then double it every year after! Pet Rescue USA’s newly opened location in Harrison, New York is full of employees who are passionate about animals and putting them in the best possible homes.
