Hello friends and welcome to the healing world of power animals. In Job 12:7-8 it says: “But ask the animals and they will teach you, or the birds of the sky and they will tell you; or speak to the earth and it will teach you or let the fish of the sea inform you.” Needless to say, there’s a lot to learn from the animals. Today we’ll look at the iguana.

There are 35 species of iguanas and they’re one of the most popular reptile pets in the world. They have elongated bodies, spiney backs, sharp claws, and long tails. Their strong, clawed limbs help them climb trees, while their sharp teeth allow them to nibble on any vegetation. Iguanas are cold blooded so they regulate their body temperature by knowing how long to stay in the sun or the shade. The iguana’s green colors provide excellent camouflage on the ground or in the trees while their keen sight and patience makes them very aware of their environment. They like to be near water so they can dive in to escape predators.

The watchful iguana lives in the moment and is good at finding the right balance between work and relaxation. They move little unless they have to, but when they do, they can move very quickly. The unique iguana doesn’t talk much but communicates through eye contact, posturing, strutting, bobbing, standing up, or flatting down. They embody the virtues of contentment, contemplation, serenity, appreciation, and rejuvenation. Call on their spirit when you want to better trust your instincts.
