On January 19, 2022, the City Council formed a Tavares Smart Growth Horizon Team to host public workshops, to listen, to share ideas, and to exchange information on how America's Seaplane City should continue to grow and prosper while maintaining the quality of life enjoyed by all of the residents of Tavares.

Instructions are provided below for Tavares citizens and those in nearby unincorporated Lake County, FL subject to annexation by Tavares to text pictures and ideas to be added to the topics to discuss at future meetings.
