Create Clarity and Purpose - We have the superpower of focus; if we are so darn distracted, why do kids with our special powers sit in front of a video game for many hours? Those kids have a purpose or a goal. They know why they are there. Your “why” or motivation needs to be so powerful that it overpowers any “bright and shiny” distractions. Be clear about your ultimate goal or mission and use your powers of tenacity (hyper focus) to keep present and aware of your mission. When you get a great idea, take out your smart phone and record it and then return to your core mission. Allow your brain to get the creative ideas out. You may end up with hundreds of recordings, but at least you have them.
