Riding the Arkansas Dragon AR HWY 123

Tales of the Arkansas Dragon; A Virtual Ride on Arkansas 123

There are several opinions of what actually is or how long the Dragon is, 15 miles or as some have it mapped out a 59-mile ride, others up to 177 mile ride.

I added links below to maps and descriptions of all of those rides.

My route noted in the video is 15 miles, starts at Mt Judea and ends at the intersection of Hwy 7 and Hwy 123 which is about 40 miles north of Russellville, AR in a town called Lurton, AR.

Supposedly the Dragon is Arkansas response the Tail of Dragon at Deals Gap, TN, if so then the portion of Hwy 123 I am riding in the video comes closes to that reality, this is an apple to apple comparison in my opinion. Hopefully in a few weeks I will ride the the Tail of Dragon, Deals Gap, TN and be able to compare that experience with this one.

One for certain if you love fantastic motorcycles roads to ride you cannot go wrong in the Natural State.
