Defence accuses Michael Cohen of lying on the stand at Trump’s hush-money trial

Donald Trump’s lawyers accused Michael Cohen, the star prosecution witness in Trump’s hush money trial, of lying to jurors.

They portrayed Cohen, Trump’s former fixer turned adversary, as a serial liar determined to see Trump imprisoned.

Defense attorney Todd Blanche aggressively questioned Cohen, focusing on his past misdeeds and attempting to undermine his testimony implicating Trump.

Blanche challenged Cohen’s claim that he discussed a hush money payment to Stormy Daniels with Trump, using phone records and texts to suggest Cohen was more concerned about prank calls at the time.

Cohen maintained that he also spoke to Trump about the payment, the Associated Press reported.
