At 6:00 PM on January 27, 1965, a father who is a NASA engineer and his son
David Kremons have a UFO sighting of an unusual object
in the night sky.

After arriving home, the father spots the object
through his windshield. Soon the son
witnesses the same thing.

The object was made up of red/orange lights
that spun around each other.

The object made no sound.

Incredibly, the UFO lands.

The sighting was over Langley AFB and soon
the US Air Force began an investigation.

The Air Force determined that the object
was a helicopter.

After the Air Force's verdict, Kremens
turned to NICAP.

NICAP determines that the sighting may be
attributed to Project 1794, the Air Force's
attempt to build a flying saucer of their own.

At that time, the project was top secret.
However, the Avrocar never flew very far or
ascended into the sky except for a few feet.

This ruled out the project was responsible
for what the Kremens saw.

The case remained unsolved for almost 50 years until
2012 when NICAP determined that the Kremens were looking
in the direction of Plum Tree Island.

The island was used by NASA to test new projects.
At the time, the tests involve spacecraft dropping
to the ground, or water.

They were not capable of making the maneuvers
that the Kremens saw.

What the Kremens saw remains unidentified.
