As waters a Pink Floyd rocker battles fresh anti-Semitism storm.

Controversial Pink Floyd co-founder Roger Waters has visited WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange in prison, it has emerged.

Assange, 52, has been confined in Belmarsh prison in London since April 2019 after being found guilty of breaching the Bail Act.

He is currently facing extradition to the United States to face charges of conspiracy to commit computer intrusion.

Mr Waters, 80, visited Assange in jail on Saturday. He was accompanied by the convict's wife Stella Assange, 39, and former Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis, who is best known for his role in the Greek debt crisis in 2015.

This was the first time that the Pink Floyd co-founder, who has faced criticism for his controversially pro-Russian and allegedly anti-Semitic views, had visited Assange in prison.

Waters has recently faced criticism for his controversially pro-Russian and allegedly anti-Semitic views. He is pictured wearing his controversial Nazi-style coat and machine gun during his concert at the O2 Arena in London in June this year.

Posting a video of the group following their visit on X, formerly known as Twitter, Mr Varoufakis wrote: 'Having just visited Julian Assange at Belmarsh, a quick message (on our way out) from Roger Waters, Julian Assange and me. Free Julian!'

In the footage, Mr Waters explained that the group had 'great conversation' with Assange, adding: 'The kids were amazing, Stella was amazing.

In a statement issued by his political party DiEM25, Mr Varoufakis claimed that Assange has been kept in 'strict solitary confinement for 23 hours per day.'

He added that Assange is 'deteriorating', and said that 'he is trying with all his strength to keep a small part of himself alive.'

Mr Waters added: 'Notwithstanding the draconian conditions here, we managed to have a proper afternoon with a great hero. I'm feeling a little bit emotional.

'We have to keep fighting and fighting, and fighting to achieve a modicum.... not even a modicum, but proper justice - which means freedom for Julian Assange.

The musician's visit to Belmarsh prison comes just days after he was accused of singing that his agent was a 'f***ing Jew' in an improvised song, according to an account from the rocker's ex-producer in an explosive new documentary.

Bob Ezrin, a Jewish man who produced hit Floyd albums including The Wall and A Momentary Lapse of Reason, told investigative journalist John Ware that the 80-year-old was a 'bully' in his eyes.
