In October 2011 LAPD Detective Greg Kading who worked on the Tupac murder investigation (And BIGGIE SMALLS murder case) in the 2000's says they have evidence that Sean “Diddy” Combs commissioned CRIPS gang member Duane "Keffe D" Davis to take out Tupac for $1 million (Duane was with his Nephew who killed Tupac). He claims Sean “Diddy” Combs talked to him on the phone afterwards asking if the news of Tupac being shot was "us".

In 2018 LAPD Detective Greg Kading went onto REDDIT to answer questions about the murder of Tupac & Sean “Diddy” Combs involvement and Greg said Sean “Diddy” Combs has made good use of lawyers over the years to insulate him from police interrogation.
