Day 18
Biking time
Left friends house at 8am biked 7 miles to Costco arrived 8:50am
(finished biking at 5:40pm) we biked 77 miles today

This morning I didn't want to wake up. I could have slept for much longer. It was probably because we felt comfortable at the house and secure. We are sleeping in quit a few places, and there is always a risk factor that someone will try and take our bikes or other stuff.
Even though the bike is chained up and the other stuff is under the tent with us, it is still risky. If someone would take our bikes, that would basically ruin the entire trip, since the bikes are our life on this trip. In the morning we prepared our bikes and ate some breakfast. We didn't expect to be served food but were given eggs and pineapple. This is always a hard situation for us because of the way we eat and our lifestyle. Since we only eat what we grow/raise or organic, farm raised, wild, free range etc. It is always tough to be in a situation when someone offers us food. So we did eat the eggs, which I am not going to lie was nice to have something warm. But would have rather not. We did eat some of our oats as well since the eggs weren't enough. And even with the oats it wasn't enough.
The 7 miles to Costco was actually tougher then you would think. Because, one we wanted to sleep and still felt tired, and two there was a head wind that was pretty strong.
After Costco it didn't get any better. The wind did die down at times but there was a lot of rain. And at times the rain felt like hail. It is tough to enjoy the island when you are miserable and wet but it is good to be optimistic during these times.
We got soaked, then dried, then soaked again, and then dried. It was a very eventful weather that we had today. Luckily it ended with out the rain and we were able to dry up before getting to the campsite. We barely stopped during this bike ride. When we did it was to use the bathroom or have a quick snack. So you could say we almost biked today non stop.
We originally planned to do like 65 miles, but the original beach we picked was not good. So we kept going and found some actual campsites. But since we are trying to save money we decided to move on. Luckily we found a place to camp. A nice large place. We walked down the beach found a spot, then found a better spot for us to set up camp. We had our dinner and set up our tent earlier than usual because we were pretty hidden.
The rain and wind make biking very difficult but we still had a good day. Pretty exhausting but a good day.
