he believes that China’s economic growth may finally be slowing down, and he thinks that this
presents some seriously attractive opportunities for investors who are willing to take the risk.

Michael Burry is an American investor who predicted and profited from the 2008 financial crisis.
He was a hedge fund manager for Scion Capital LLC and founder of The Scion Group, which he
started in 1996. In 2007, he began predicting that there would be a housing bubble in the U.S.,
as well as a corresponding collapse in credit markets due to high-risk subprime lending
practices by lenders. His predictions were not widely accepted until the economy had already
entered its worst phase; this earned him his nickname the man who broke Wall Street.
