Bridge? Culvert pipe? Or cutting a 'Ford' ditch crossing on your land? Super hilly terrain. Lot's of rocks and boulders. Tight budget. Cutting a new road through the woods & cutting a Ford ditch crossing. Join us today for another very interesting and successful deep woods land management project, and land improvement project as I tackle another day on this client property located near the Garden of the Gods in Southern Illinois. This is VERY steep and very remote country here so there is NO excavation job that will be 'easy' to accomplish! In today's mission I'll be using my bobcat e42 R2 series mini excavator to cut a new road through the woods and then I will tackle a steep ditch crossing that has been washed out, and is very steep to even walk across it. Join me for today's episode as I walk you through the process of the most affordable and easiest method to create a new ditch crossing to get you from one side of the ditch to the other! Do you own land? Do you lease land? Is there a ditch that is an obstacle for you being able to get to the back of the property? What about getting a tractor back there, or a side by side? This is a very common problem for landowners in hilly terrain and today I'll show you the most affordable and cost effective method of cutting a ditch crossing with a mini excavator or a tractor.
