The skateboarding Skateboard project evolved from surfing in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Skateboarding is one of the board sports, is the athlete's foot sliding equipment, in different terrain, ground and specific facilities, under the melody of music, to complete a variety of complex sliding, jumping, rotating, churning and other difficult movements of the technical exercise. In the 1960s, California residents invented the first skateboard. In the 1970s and 1980s, the United States first established the National Skateboarding Association (NSA). In 1981, the American Skateboarding Association and the European Skateboarding Association jointly organized the first World Cup skateboarding competition in former West Germany. On December 7, 2020, the IOC agreed to list skateboarding as an official event for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games
