It comes as Russia's Defense Ministry warned countries, including NATO member Romania, against hosting Kyiv's military aircraft, saying they could end up being involved in an armed conflict.
Defence ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said in a video briefing that some Ukrainian combat planes had redeployed to Romania and other Ukraine neighbours he did not identify.
He warned that if those warplanes attacked the Russian forces from the territory of those nations, it 'could be considered as those countries' engagement in the military conflict'.
Mr Konashenkov said: 'We know for sure that Ukrainian combat aircraft have flown to Romania and other neighbouring countries.
Let's remember what happened.
A Sukhoi 27 fighter jet of the Ukrainean Air Force has been intercepted in the morning of 24th of february 2022 by 2 F-16 aircraft of the NATO Romainian Air Force in the North of Romania. The plane has been imidiately escorted to air base 95 in Bacau for landing.
The plane has been regarded by the Romainian forces as hostile
The Pilot is in a NATO base on Romanian territory.
From the information so far, only in Romania a Ukrainian military plane landed. So, the content of the threat is only with one address, ROMANIA.
