RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN - Friday February 25, 2022 a group of republicans and independents from all around Rutherford County gathered at the LaVergne Multi-Purpose Building (at City Hall) for a spaghetti dinner. For those of you who don't know, spaghetti dinners are typically held before Primary Elections as a way for voters to meet candidates prior to voting in May, it's also the first real opportunity for candidates to make an impression with the voters.

One of the first candidates up to speak was incumbent Rutherford County Mayor, Bill Ketron. As this election season is already proving to be anything but normal, Thursday night was no different. What does that mean? Oftentimes, when the most prominent party member for the county stands to speak a majority of the room will pause to listen. As you will see in the video below, that was not the case with Mayor Ketron's speech. Instead of providing the incumbent Mayor with their undivided attention, the noise from the room makes hearing the speech impossible. Don't worry, you don't have to listen to the entire thing, just enough for you to understand how disinterested the crowd was.
