We had made up our minds to do some Michigan river fishing for catfish but we got out on the water so ours before dark and enjoyed tossing some Lewers for smallmouth bass and rock bass are we waited for the cat fishing to begin we did set up a catfish rod early on just in case there was a pre-night bite but then we waited to put out our arsenal of catfish bait until after the sun went down.
