Lila Rose, president of Live Action:

I am very hopeful that justice will prevail after Wednesday’s Supreme Court oral arguments in the Dobbs v. Jackson abortion case. Excellent questioning by most Supreme Court justices and lots of dodges and non-answers from the pro-abortion side.

It’s clear that abortion legal precedent is a contradictory, unjust mess. Over 60 million children have been killed since Roe v Wade legalized abortion on demand. And every day that passes, 2363 more preborn children are killed. Current Supreme Court precedent asserts that babies before the age of “viability” (historically, about 24 weeks old) deserve no legal protection and can be killed for any reason. But viability is an arbitrary, illogical and ever-moving line. As of this year, babies at just 21 weeks old have survived outside the womb, breaking world records. Why is a baby at 20 weeks less valuable or worthy than one at 21 weeks? The Constitution has never included a “right" to kill a preborn child. But the Constitution DOES promise equal protection under the law for all.

It's past time for the Court to recognize that human rights are for ALL humans, not some. I’m optimistic that we will see serious damage done to the horror that is Roe v. Wade when the Court issues their opinion in 2022.
