This video presents one of the central concepts in Socrates' philosophy, that is, the idea that the unexamined life is not worth living.

Socrates urges us to know ourselves, to examine our lives so we can live a fruitful and meaningful life. We make use of our reason in doing so. Socrates then would have us believe that as humans, it is our duty to know ourselves through the use of reason.

Socrates was one of the best, if not the greatest, philosophers of the Western world. He had influenced countless of thinkers throughout generations.
