Puppies play together in water with pure joy

This is Stevie, an adorable poodle cross, and his friend, Lily, A golden retriever/poodle mix. Lily loves playing in the stream that runs through the back yard, but she gets a true lesson in how to really enjoy that babbling brook. Stevie runs around with pure joy, as only a young puppy can do. Lily is still very much a puppy herself, barely over two years old. She loves to play just as much, but she's become a little more sophisticated and mature in the past two years.Show more

Lily loves to chase fish that come up this river to spawn in the spring and fall. She tries her best to play with them but they aren't keen on the kinds of games that Lily has in mind. Still, she jumps and splashes and then becomes startled if they splash too much or move too quickly.

Stevie just runs in circles at full speed in the water, even though there is nothing to chase. His high energy antics are hilarious to watch and it seems like he's hoping Lily will be able to keep up with him. At one point, he seems to get a little nervous about the water touching his belly when he finds a deep spot.

Their owners laugh from shore, delighted with the games and the obvious fun that the pups are having.
