The Thief At The Door

JOHN10: 9-10 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved and will go in in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except
to steal, and to kill and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
Times of trouble touch all of us. It is a fact of life. It doesn’t matter how well we live life or do life. There will be places and moments of pain,
fear, heartache, grief, and uncertainty. Jesus tells us this Himself in John 16:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have
peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.
The idea here is that even though we might be going through troubles we can have peace. Our peace is NOT dependent on our circumstances.
Our peace is dependent on our union with Christ.
Philippians 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving make your requests known to God; and
the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Romans 16:20 And the God of peace will crush satan under your feet shortly. The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen
Notice that it is the God of peace who will cause satan to be annihilated and his powers broken against us. The word crush is the Greek word
suntribo. It means to crush completely, to shatter, to break into pieces. It comes from the Geek root tribo, which means a rut or a worn track.
This means that the way satan is crushed is through persistent activity in the spirit realm from peace. In other words, as we continually release
our spiritual authority from the peace of God in us, we are wearing down and destroying the activities of satan against us. We from a place of
peace declare the authority of God, and satan is crushed under our feet. He is shattered and his works are broken to pieces. It is, the God of
peace who will use our feet to do the crushing.
Take notice that the crushing and destroying of satanic powers is from a place of peace. The God of peace on the inside of us, working through
us is how this is accomplished. Everything we do must be from this position of peace. It is the feet filled with peace that crush satan and his
intents. Satan knows this. So, one of the chief goals of the enemy is to remove us from a place of peace. If he can bring calamity, trouble, crisis,
and pain to us and get us out of peace, then he wins. We must be at peace to crush his head with our feet.
So, how do we get to this place of peace? We go back to Philippians 4: 6&7.
The word supplication is the Greek word deesis. It means a prayer of supplication. It comes from the word deomai. It means to petition to bind
oneself. This idea of joining yourself to a cry until what is being cried for is done. It’s the concept of feverent prayer with a passion that won't let
go!
The next part to look at is thanksgiving. The Greek word is eucharista. It means a grateful language to God.

1 Thessalonians 5: 18 In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ for you.
Giving thanks in all things speaks of having a heart of worship and adoration no matter what we are going through. No matter what the crisis is
we are worshiping God through it. Even in places of uncertainty and hardship, we focus on the Lord through believing He is working for us even
if we can’t see it. Thanksgiving and worship amid trials can be hard. It is, however, powerful spiritual warfare!
Eucharista is also the word we get eucharist from. We take communion with thankful hearts, proclaiming the finished work of the cross. This is
also powerful spiritual warfare!
Lord, I come before Your courts. As I stand before You, I honor You as the Great Judge of all the earth. I thank You that all the
cases against me in the spirit realm are removed by the blood of Jesus and what He has done for me.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled.
Romans 5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Isaiah 53:5 But He was pierced for our transgressions; He was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with His wounds we are healed.
Shalom- Peace = Signifies a sense of well-being and harmony both within and without. Completeness, wholeness, peace, health, welfare, safety,
tranquility, prosperity, fullness, rest, harmony, the absence of agitation or discord, a state of calm without anxiety or stress.

Mind Declarations-I thank you Lord, and I bind my mind to the mind of Christ and hold every thought captive to the Word of God and submit it
to Jesus.
I command mind binding spirits that torment me to leave, in Jesus’ name.
I thank you Lord, that my mind has been renewed, and my thinking, behavior patterns, habits and thoughts have changed. I do not think as the
world thinks, but the Spirit gives me life and imparts wisdom and knowledge.
I declare I walk in the Shalom Peace that Jesus died to give me!
I have a sound mind! The blood Jesus spilled wearing the crown of thorns provided healing for my mind. I receive the gift of His peace as my
mind is stayed upon Him. I have the mind of Christ. I claim complete healing over torment, guilt, worry or uneasiness in my mind. In Jesus Name.
