Things are heating up for cell phone manufacturers. In a world first, a class action lawsuit has been filed against Samsung and Apple over the fact that phones are tested in a way that is not realistic (0mm of separation). Lawyer Charles O’Brien and expert Pedro Gregorio join Nick to explain the significance of this critical lawsuit.

Lorax Litigation is an environmental and fundamental rights protection collective action law firm and the North America Environmental Law Center in Quebec. Counsel, Charles O'Brien, holds a Masters degree in environmental studies from the Environmental Law Centre (Vermont University), Masters in Law from Paris X, Nanterre, and BCL and LL.B. law degrees from McGill University.

Specializing in environmental protection and the Public Trust ("Prejudice environnementale") since 1991, Lorax litigation is currently involved in eight collective actions, and expects to file two more collective actions in the coming months. Charles O'Brien is an avid photographer having published two books of photographs, with a third book imminent.

Pedro Gregorio is an Operating Partner and head of the Robotics laboratory at Innovobot Labs. Mr. Gregorio is a graduate of McGill University’s Engineering faculty, earning his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with the distinction of University Scholar, before moving onto his master’s degree specializing in Robotics in 1994.

As a Specialist Engineer, Pedro developed and deployed automation, collaborative robotics, and other advanced manufacturing processes at MDA. Pedro contributed to dozens of earth observation, planetary science, and satellite telecommunications missions including: ExoMars 2016, the Sentinel/Jason, and RADARSAT Constellation Mission.

Prior to that, Mr. Gregorio occupied several R&D and management functions with Immersion Corporation. He led teams in developing advanced robotic devices for haptic applications in the automotive and medical training markets. He is currently named in over 100 technology patents.
