As the Left upped their political witch hunt against him, former President Trump continued to gain strength. Even with a federal indictment unveiled just the day before, he won the straw poll at the Western Conservative Summit with 40.3 percent of the support, besting GOP 2024 contender Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla) by 4.5 percentage points.
