Volcanoes may be found all over the world, and there are thousands of them, each one unique from the others. A volcano appears as a mountain or a sizable mound of dirt with a vent, or cone, on the earth's surface. This form is the result of years of accumulated ash, dust, lava, and other things erupting from the vent. The potential of these massive undersea supervolcanoes, which appear ready to unleash their havoc on humans, has scientists quaking in their boots.
