Biden to become first US sitting President to visit Papua New Guinea

President Joe Biden is set to become the first U.S. sitting President to visit Papua New Guinea during a planned stopover to the Pacific Island country on May 22. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reports Tuesday that Biden plans to meet with Papua New Guinea’s Prime Minister James Marape and other Pacific Island foreign leaders during the visit.
