Please note, as any religious historian would tell you, especially those who know the Christian religion well, the Bible does say that all children are children of God. This is true. What Hakeem Jeffries mistakes and misrepresents is that the Christian religion does teach that humans come in either one of two kinds, male or female.

His tactic is one that the left often employs, which is making an emotion plea based on some form of truth, but inserting their own political beliefs into the claim, leading you to assume that a institution, in this case the Christian Baptist church, agrees with the politicians political beliefs. In this case, Hakeem Jeffries is wrong to assume that the church has the same stance on gender issues as Hakeem does.

Yes God loves all. But also yes, the Baptist church teaches that humans come in either male or female and that this can't be changed. It's likely that because of this, the church would have a very different perspective on what to do with that book than the perspective Hakeem Jeffries leads someone to believe.

My opinions on the matter are not relevant, and therefore kept out of the conversation. I am only trying to use humor to give an accurate view of what the church actually believes and how this politician misrepresents that.
