Canada: PM Trudeau and Ont. Premier Doug Ford mark opening of EV manufacturing plant – December 5, 2022

At a news conference in Ingersoll, Ontario, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Premier Doug Ford highlight mark the opening of Canada's first full scale commercial electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing plant. They are joined by GM representatives Mary Barra ( chair and CEO), Marissa West (president and managing director, GM Canada) and Mark Royce (president), as well as Vic Fedeli, the provincial minister of economic development, job creation and trade and Lana Payne (national president, Unifor).
