Directions: Read the following verses and then answer the questions:

Day 1: Luke 16:15, 1 Samuel 16:6-7, and discuss: In what ways does God see things differently than man? What are some things that are exalted among men, but are an abomination to God? Conversely what are some things that men despise, but are exalted in God’s sight?

Day 2: 1 Timothy 6:9-10 cf. Matthew 5:19, James 1:14-15, Proverbs 15:27 and discuss: Why do we tend to think that money itself, versus the love of money, is the problem (or is the root of all kinds of evil)? Where does evil come from if not from money? What are some of the evils the love of money causes?

Day 3: Ecclesiastes 5:10-16, 1 Corinthians 6:10, Matthew 13:22, Mark 10:23-25, Luke 16:13 and discuss: Why is it vain to love money? How does money choke Christ out of our lives? What examples can you think of in Scripture of people who send because of their love of money?
