Summary:
God created in the beginning, but the beginning of what? And what was before the beginning? Let’s delve into the Word of God to examine God, eternity, and what existed in the beginning.

Notes:
In Gary P. Miller’s book, Creation: In the Beginning, he states,

“Before God created before anything  was made, He inhabited “eternity.” Eternity is outside of creation; it is not within creation. Eternity is its own unique place. Eternity is not heaven, as heaven was created. Eternity existed before anything was created. Eternity is different than creation. It is called “everlasting.” It has no beginning, no end, and no limits as to size or scope. It always existed and is the abode of God.”

Takeaway:
Time began in the beginning, when God began to create. He inhabits eternity, and all creation exists outside of eternity. But we shall inherit eternal life AND the new heaven and new earth, all because of what Jesus Christ did for us at Calvary.
