Valdes defended one’s constitutional right to purchase legal firearms noting that lawful citizens can do a lot of things at age 18, and buying an AR-15 should be one of them.

Politicians can have a conversation on age limits, but it’s likely to be a non-starter at the federal level (when they can’t agree on the definition of ‘assault’ weapons) according to Valdes.

Valdes offered that too many states already trample their citizens’ constitutional rights as it is. Therefore, hope for bipartisanship on this issue is not likely on the horizon, He added.
