This Is The CHAOS That Steph Curry Causes...

Steph Curry brings the ball up and as we freeze it here, you see that this is a double screen for him to curl.
And check out all of the attention that he has on him. With both Luka and Bullock guarding him closely, and the other guys also being high up ready to switch on the screens, this is exactly the Curry effect as the paint is completely empty.
So the great reaction by Wiggins to just cut inside, and Steph flings it to Green on the other side, so when this triangle is completed we got a wide open layup.
Steph Curry finished with 31 points and 11 assists on 50% shooting.
And the entire team benefited from his playmaking. Let me show you. What up everybody, my name is Stefan and this is Heat Check. Let’s get into it.
Here’s a few more examples of the Curry effect.
Dallas has him cornered with this double on the wing, but watch the half spin by Steph that Bullock bites on, because he’s thinking that’s a spin back towards the screen here and an open 3 point look. So as he jumps on it, Curry goes through and now this is a 2 on 1 situation, the great bounce pass and Looney is the beneficiary.
That fear from his shot is displayed in this situation as well, as Thompson screens for him, Finney Smith is trailing so as Curry goes up for a shot, Powell jumps with him.
And a terrific mid air adjustment to change this shot into a bounce pass for Looney who now has Doncic on him and that’s barbeque chicken for him.
Right here again, as Steph gives it up, you see that it’s a similar 2 screen alignment for him up top, but with the Mavs focusing all of their attention on him, Draymond uses that to just fake the hand off, and once again the paint is empty so he just walks right into a dunk.
And watch this. On the pass by Klay, Finney Smith signals that he’s going to switch it. But look at Brunson, he still has his eyes on Steph, checking if he needs to help out there. So with everyone looking that way, Green just slides in and sets an off ball screen for Klay, and a sniper like him will not miss out on this opportunity to fire away. Bang.
Steph faced double teams throughout the entire game but he was extremely comfortable in handling the ball through them, and finding his teammates who were in great positions to score off of that.
Also we gotta give a major shoutout to Andrew Wiggins who came out extremely aggressive in this game and by winning it puts Golden State pretty much 1 foot in the finals. 3-0 and 2-1 is a completely different story, and Wiggins had a lot to do with it.
27 points on 55% shooting but much more important than that to me were his 11 rebounds, and all the extra opportunities that he created with that. You see the decisiveness, the aggressiveness and the attacking mindset that he had in this game. All of that while chasing Luka and battling with him all over the floor.
So far in this series Wiggins is averaging 20.7 points and 7 rebounds on 47.1% from the field and 38.9% from downtown, and so far he’s absolutely been the X-factor for Golden State in these 3 games and helped them get just 1 win away from the finals.
Dallas did deserve to get at least 1 game, so hopefully this doesn’t end up in a sweep.
Let me know in the comments what do you think happens in game 4. That’s it for now, subscribe and talk to you in the next one. Peace out.
