PUTIN MEETS WITH TOP OFFICIALS AFTER IRANIAN PRESIDENT'S HELICOPTER CRASH. RUSSIAN RESCUE TEAM JOINS SEARCH FOR PRESIDENT RAISI'S HELICOPTER.

Following the crash of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi's helicopter, Russian President Putin convened a late-night meeting with top defense and security officials and the Iranian Ambassador to Russia, Kazem Jalali.

According to IRNA news agency, the meeting included Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu, Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov, Emergencies Ministry head Alexander Kurenkov, and Special Assistant to the President Igor Levitin.

During the session, Putin expressed his condolences and assured that Russia would provide all necessary assistance, revealing that two planes with 50 specialists have been prepared to join the search efforts immediately.

In addition to a high-level meeting the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations has further mobilized support for the search for Iranian President's helicopter.

Footage released shows the Tsentrospas detachment's helicopter being loaded onto an Il-76 aircraft, prepared to assist in the search operation.

The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations has dispatched a skilled team of 47 specialists to aid in the search for the helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.

The team, equipped with high-clearance machinery and a BO-105 helicopter, will conduct aerial searches.

This group, combining experts from the Ministry's "Tsentrospas" detachment and the "Leader" center, is currently preparing their special equipment at Zhukovsky airport near Moscow, gearing up for their departure to Tabriz, Iran.
