The Thinking Prepper-Sam Kryder got started "prepping before prepping was cool". It all started back in the Clinton years, before Y2K. He knew back then things would take a downturn in this country. Y2K was a wake-up call for him. With the proliferation of the internet, it was easier to harvest information and save it for future emergencies. Y2K came and went with little fanfare but it put us on a goal of prepping for all kinds of disasters. He is what is called a professional "hoarder". He would save anything and everything and repurpose just about anything. After retirement he set my goals on teaching prepping to over five prepper groups. Since prepping is so organic, he finds there is always something to teach. Communications is so important in a disaster and could be a matter of life and death without it.
