The Battle of Endor, the mission to Endor, the assault on the second Death Star, or the attack on the second Death Star, was a major battle in the war between the Rebel Alliance and the Empire. The Battle of Endor took place in 4 ABY and was fought on the forrest moon of Endor.

Destroying the shield generator on the forrest moon disabled the second Death Star's shields and allowed the Rebels in the space battle overhead to successfully destroy it, ending the war with not only the Death Star II's destruction, but the deaths of Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader.
