Introducing New Chickens To The Flock | Clipping Chickens Wings

Introducing our new chickens to our flock is pretty is simple. It takes about 5-7 days for the chickens to be introduced properly where the new chickens and the old flock can get acquainted and quarantined before having them out together in the run. All chicken flocks have bullies, more dominant hens and more aggressive hens. Each chicken needs to find where it fits in the the pecking order of your flock. Having the chickens being within a close proximity to each other, with out direct contact is the best way to integrate your new chickens to the old flock. Using the method that we do in this video helps each chicken to slowly adapt to its new home and new flock. This method reduces stress on your flock and also can be used as a quarantine time to monitor behaviors, illnesses or anything unusual with your new chickens before risking your entire flock.
