Skateboarding was born in the United States, and California is inseparable from skateboarding culture. In the 1970s, skateboarding in California left an indelible mark in the history of extreme sports development in the United States, and was called the "Golden 70s of Skateboarding". Because of the rare drought in California at that time, the swimming pools and drains dried up, so many teens and kids brought their own skateboards, many of them simple planks with a few wheels, and kept going to "brush" Street", challenging various terrains. And one of them, Hugh Holland, who lives in Los Angeles, started filming people skateboarding in pools and gutters. Hugh Holland is not a professional photographer, nor is he a skateboarder, but he has continuously recorded this group of spokespersons of American street culture for three years, and gradually formed a cultural prototype.
